Salon Ronda

A place to stay, work and meet.

La Cimada / Ronda
Andalusia / Spain

01 / The place and the idea

A cultural house in the Andalusian countryside.

Salon Ronda is a place for artists and other creative people to spend time, work on ideas and meet others.

Salon Ronda offers time and space away from your usual surroundings. You can work on something specific, begin a new idea or simply see what happens when you have a few quiet days in another place.

There is no fixed programme and no expected outcome. Shared meals and conversations happen naturally, but there is also plenty of space to be on your own.

The land at La Cimada is quiet and surrounded by nature, with good internet when you need it. Ronda, its galleries and museums, and the surrounding white villages are close by.

02 / Individual Artist Stays

Your own house. Your own rhythm.

Individual Artist Stays offer artists and other creative people a few days to work, think and spend time in a different environment.

The stays are open to artists and creatives working across different disciplines. This includes visual artists, designers, photographers, filmmakers, writers, musicians and performers. Other independent creative practices are welcome too.

Bringing people from different creative fields together is an important part of Salon Ronda. When it feels relevant, I can introduce guests to one another or to artists and producers from the area.

We would love guests to contribute something from their stay to the Salon Ronda archive, such as a photograph, painting, sketch or text.

More ways to come together.

Gatherings, Artist Dinners, collaborations and connections with artists and producers from the area will begin in 2027.

01

Gatherings

A small group of creative people comes together for a few days. There is time to work, eat together and exchange ideas. A gathering may also include a workshop or a visit to someone working in the area.

Artist Dinners and Long Tables

Occasional evenings that bring together artists, guests and people from the area for food, work and conversation. With the artist’s permission, work from previous stays may be shown in the garden or the large barn.

04 / About

Why this exists.

I’m Ellen, a stylist and producer. I worked for years in Amsterdam and Berlin, between shoots, shops, openings and galleries.

I wanted more rest, more nature and less rush. I found that in Spain, where I now spend part of my time.

I have always loved interiors and houses. La Cimada grew slowly, with Spanish and Moroccan influences and a lot of attention to atmosphere and detail.

What I didn’t want to let go of was bringing creative people together. With Salon Ronda, that all comes together.

Salon Ronda is a project by Rogier and me. Rogier is a hospitality entrepreneur in Amsterdam, a host at heart who loves to cook.

Together when it feels right. Alone when you need that.
